Design, install, configure, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based IT systems with a focus on security.
Manage and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) to ensure optimal network performance and robust security posture.
Administer Windows Server environments, including user accounts, permissions, and group policies, with a focus on least privilege and secure configurations.
Implement and manage security solutions like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.
Perform system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and vulnerability assessments to maintain a strong security posture.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity, ensuring security considerations are addressed throughout the process.
Provide technical support to internal users, fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Participate in system upgrades and migrations, prioritizing security best practices during the implementation process.
Document system configurations, security procedures, and incident response plans.
Stay up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience as a System Engineer or similar IT role with a focus on security.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, with a focus on security best practices.
Experience with network security concepts and firewall management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and their security considerations is a plus.
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a critical security mindset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for technology, security, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or other relevant IT security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or CISSP).
